Starting Thursday, May 14, CF Benchmarks will begin publishing market indices for three new cryptocurrencies: Tezos (XTZ), Stellar (XLM) and EOSIO (EOS).
The decision marks the largest expansion of assets we cover, following our release of indices for Bitcoin (XBT), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP).
Both Kraken and CF Benchmarks believe reliable and trustworthy indices are essential to mature and transparent markets, and that they are key enablers of market linchpins such as derivative contracts and lending products.
These three cryptocurrencies were selected for indices based on a number of factors, including market demand for the underlying asset and its associated products.
Each asset is also listed on reliable exchanges around the world and has sufficient liquidity, meaning we can be confident in our ability to provide robust and accurate data to the market.
We are excited about the potential of these new indices, and look forward to continuing to expand our available offerings in the future.

How are the indices calculated?
For each of our newly supported assets, we will publish a daily Settlement Price (RR) and a Spot Rate (RTI).
RRs are typically used to settle derivative transactions like futures contracts, whereas RTIs are relied on by investors and exchanges to value assets in real time.
